The genome assembly of Morchella fluvialis M19-34m (formerly Morchella sp. M19-34m) was not determined by the Joint Genome Institute (JGI), and was sequenced with Pacbio at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Please note that this copy of the genome is not maintained by LANL and is therefore not automatically updated. The transcriptome was sequenced with Illumina and assembled with Trinity by JGI. Subsequently, the JGI Annotation Pipeline was used to generate structural and functional annotations.
Morchella fluvialis M19-34m
Morchella fluvialis M19-34m was sequenced as part of the DOE-SFA project “Bacterial-Fungal Interactions and Their Role in Soil Functioning” which aims at exploring the taxonomic and functional breadth of the fungal microbiome, as well as examining signatures of genome adaptations to a BFI lifestyle.
In this project, we are sequencing genomes of fungal species that establish particular interactions with soil bacteria.
