Status
Oct 2012 - The Aspergillus zonatus genome was sequenced using the Illumina platform, assembled with with AllPathsLG, and annotated with the JGI annotation pipeline and custom analyses.
Dec 2013 - WARNING - contamination from the bacterium S. aureus was detected and 1,476 models from the following scaffolds were demoted from the Gene Catalog:
scaffold_9
scaffold_16
scaffold_24
scaffold_23
scaffold_31
scaffold_32
scaffold_42
scaffold_46
scaffold_47
scaffold_56
scaffold_131
scaffold_136
scaffold_144
The resulting contamination-free track is GeneCatalog_2013_12_03_15_38. Gene models found on the above list of scaffolds should not be considered part of the Aspergillus zonatus genome.
