The genome sequence and gene models of Caulerpa lentillifera v1.1have not been determined by the JGI, but were downloaded from Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology on October 31, 2019. In order to allow comparative analyses with other algal genomes sequenced by the JGI, a copy of this genome is incorporated into PhycoCosm.

We applied filters to remove if present: 1) transposable elements, 2) pseudogenes, 3) alternative transcripts and overlapping models, and 4) unsupported short models. This resulted in removal of 944 models from C. lentillifera and generation of the FilteredModels gene track. All published models are available in the ExternalModels track. JGI tools were used to automatically annotate predicted proteins. Please note that this copy of the genome is not maintained by the JGI and is therefore not automatically updated. The chloroplast assembly, identified from fasta annotation, was separated from the nuclear genome and is available from the download section.
