Info • Mycosphaerella graminicola v2.0

Status

v.2.0 (September 10, 2008): The finished version of Mycosphaerella graminicola v2.0 contains 21 chromosomes, 20 of which are represented telomere to telomere with 5 gaps and a total genome size of 39.7 Mbp. The chromosomes have been numbered 1-21, largest to smallest. A total of 10,952 gene models were predicted and functionally annotated using the JGI annotation pipeline. Manually curated genes and annotations were mapped from v1.0 to v2.0

v.1.0 (November 2, 2006): The assembly release version 1.0 of whole genome shotgun reads was constructed with the JGI assembler, Jazz, using paired end sequencing reads at a coverage of 8.9X. After trimming for vector and quality, 491,294 reads assembled into 129 scaffolds totaling 41.2 MB. Roughly half of the genome is contained in 6 scaffolds all at least 2.4 MB in length. The current draft release, version 1.0, includes a total of 11,395 gene models predicted and functionally annotated using the JGI annotation pipeline.
