Status
v.2.0 (October 18, 2006): The assembly release version 2.0 combines JAZZ assembly of whole genome shotgun reads with additional reads provided by the finishing group at the Los Alamos National Laboratory Branch of the Joint Genome Institute. This additional information has reduced the overall number of scaffolds from 1094 (v1.0) to 89 (v2.0). In addition, the number of scaffolds that make up half of the 34.1 Mb of the genome has reduced to 9 in v2.0 versus 15 in v1.0. Finishing work continues at JGI/LANL.
The current draft release, version 2.0, includes a total of 9,129 gene models predicted and annotated using the JGI annotation pipeline. Community-wide manual curation of gene models is on-going.
