The genome sequence and gene models of Dunaliella salina CCAP19/18 were downloaded from Phytozome, on May 3, 2018. Please note that this copy of the genome is not maintained by Phytozome and is therefore not automatically updated. The latest data is available at Phytozome.

In order to allow comparative analyses with other algal genomes sequenced by the JGI, a copy of this genome is incorporated into PhycoCosm. We applied filters to remove if present: 1) transposable elements, 2) pseudogenes, 3) alternative transcripts and overlapping models, and 4) unsupported short models. This resulted in removal of 4,625 models from D. salina and generation of the FilteredModels gene track, which is available in the downloads section. All published models are available in the ExternalModels track, which is shown by default. JGI tools were used to automatically annotate predicted proteins.
